Procrastination is the killer of creativity

Media today is our best friend or our worst enemy.

To create is a long and thought provoking process distractions is inevitable  but since media is such a big part of our lives a form of inspiration can be the biggest destraction making us vulnerable to creative stagnation.

Even now typing this entry I've checked my Facebook status twice and my other tab is pintrest making something takes time and thought and personaly procrastination is my biggest problem.

Procrastination is such a universal problem and to say i have a solution is to lie.

All i can tell you is what i do

  • Make goals
  • Make your goals achievable
  • Reward yourself for being on time
  • Take an hour out of your day and procrastinate away
  • Make sure to finish all the high prioraty tasks when you get heme
  • Let Facebook be

and  a bit go self control never hurt any one

Art is Fear

When i create a take my brush and paint fear onto my canvas
The world through the lens i create it and i cringe canvasing my  surroundings
Fear is when you aren’t brave
Fear is why you aren’t brave
Fear takes over when putting canvas on the wall
Fear is like an ashtray
You can't throw away

  •  Fear of change
  • Fear of hard work
  • Fear of not being accepted
  • Fear of self worth
  • Fear of success

  • fear can make the biggest man a small crumpled up shadow of himself you are amazing the product of  years and years of change and evolution your creativity is not simply a random product, it is a divine calling

Taking the leap and making something can be a terrifying experience and showing that to other people is probably the one thing that make good artists great ones the ability to take the bow believing in yourself taking doubt and making it something beautiful the ability ti share your talent

    Quantity or Quality

The eternal question how to we create, do we make one perfect piece or do we make 10 okay ones.
The question is how do we make the perfect piece is it by luck or is it by simply sitting down and testing bits of ideas.

Personally i feel quantity breeds quality making 50 or even 100 pieces will result in the final amazing piece.

When I'm out with the camera I always try and take as photos as possible because getting the one amazing shot is more likely.

Taking the time to write down or draw something new and re evaluating it a 100 times will make a difference in every thing you create

    Question everything!

"terrorism is the war of the poor and powerless.War is the terrorism of the rich and powerful "

    What does it mean
      • why the poor and powerless
      • why terrorism
      • why unknown
      • is this a personal opinion or a human truth
      • why the contrast
Questions breed questions and when you have the right questions you can get the right answers

Asking and doubting is the way an artist creates .. art is but the mirror to the world

    Method to madness

The one thing we forget as creatives is that ideas don't magically appear when you are in the right place at the right time we have to work through ideas and use techniques to create the one idea that is a whole made out of parts.

Edward de bono's thinking hats help me in this regard taking all the steps one by one makes coming up with a good executable idea easy.

When looking at any problem or idea it is crucial to understand the individual parts of it and work with them individual.

Here is the de bono thinking hats follow the process next time you have to generate an idea and see if it changes your perspective.

    The First Word

The First step in the creative journey is always the hardest, taking the leap forward is not easy but when you  search for inspiration its always important to look at the the people that inspire you most

    For me it was
BAnksy a infamous street artist in the UK and now all over the world
Stan lee the co creator of marvel comics
Mike Brown a Youtuber and Photographer
    Jr artist a french artist
And John meyer  an amazing musician

These men all tell a story through creativity and that is my goal!!

    Until next time
